Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how ObedientAmbition, Unipessoal LDA (“ObedientAmbition”, “we”, “us”, or “our”), operating as Lagosta Games, handles information when you use the Chess Redrawn mobile game (the “App”) or visit chessredrawn.com (the “Website”). Together, they are the “Services”.

2. Information processed when you play

Game data stored on your device

Chess Redrawn stores gameplay information locally so the App can work and remember your choices. This includes your rating, game results, Coins, streaks, unlocks, tutorial, puzzle and daily progress, game settings, language, sound and notification preferences, and local purchase-entitlement and transaction-replay records. The App does not require an ObedientAmbition account or login, and we do not receive this local gameplay data on our own servers.

Advertising and consent data

The free version uses Google Mobile Ads, including interstitial and rewarded advertisements, and Google’s User Messaging Platform for advertising consent. Depending on your region, consent choices and device settings, Google and its advertising partners may process information such as your IP address and general location inferred from it, device or app identifiers, ads shown and interactions with them, app interactions, diagnostics, performance data, and your advertising-consent choices. Chess Redrawn does not request access to your precise GPS location.

Purchases and purchase verification

Optional purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store or by Google through Google Play. The store handles your store account, payment method, billing details and purchase history under its own privacy policy. We do not receive your full card or bank details.

To validate a purchase, prevent the same transaction from being credited more than once, deliver Coins or unlock an entitlement, the App may send our secure verification service the product identifier, platform, purchase or transaction identifier, and signed store receipt or purchase token. The service may also process ordinary network and security log data, such as an IP address and request time. A one-way transaction replay identifier may remain on your device after successful verification.

Notifications

If you enable reminders, the App uses your device’s time zone and notification system to schedule them locally. We do not operate a push-notification server for these reminders. Apple or Google controls the operating-system permission prompt and delivery system.

Support and store reviews

If you choose “Send feedback”, your mail app opens a draft that includes the App name and version, device platform and operating-system version. We receive that information, your email address, message and any attachment only if you send the email. If you choose “Rate the app”, the relevant app store handles the review under its own terms and privacy policy.

3. Information processed on the Website

We do not use an account form or our own analytics tracker on the Website. The Website is hosted by Vercel, which may process standard request and security-log information such as your IP address, browser and device details, requested page, referring page, and request time to deliver and protect the Website. The Website loads its display font from Google Fonts, so your browser may make a request to Google containing ordinary network information.

4. Information we do not ask for

Chess Redrawn does not ask us to access your contacts, photos, camera, microphone, health information or precise location. There is no ObedientAmbition player account, social profile, chat, public leaderboard or cloud save in the current version.

Where advertising consent is required, declining it does not prevent you from playing, although Google may show non-personalised or limited ads instead. You can also purchase the ad-removal option if it is offered in your region.

We may also disclose information if required by law, court order or a competent authority, or as part of a merger, acquisition or sale of the business subject to appropriate safeguards. We do not sell personal data for money.

Local gameplay data remains on your device until you reset it or remove the App. We keep purchase-verification and security records only for as long as reasonably necessary to validate entitlements, prevent replay or fraud, handle disputes and comply with legal or accounting duties. Support correspondence is kept only as long as reasonably necessary to respond and maintain appropriate business records. Google, Apple and Vercel set their own retention periods for information they process under their policies.

9. Your data-protection rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to processing of your personal data, withdraw consent, and receive data in a portable format. You may also complain to a supervisory authority. In Portugal, this is the Comissão Nacional de Proteção de Dados (CNPD).

Email us to exercise rights concerning information we control. For data controlled directly by Google, Apple or another provider, you may also need to use that provider’s privacy controls. We may need to verify your identity before responding.

10. Children

Chess Redrawn is a family-friendly chess game, but it is not designed to ask children for personal information. It has no player account, chat or public profile. A parent or guardian who believes a child has sent personal information to us can contact us so we can review and, where appropriate, delete it. Advertising is configured and presented subject to applicable child-safety, age-rating and consent requirements.

Some providers may process information outside Portugal or the European Economic Area. Where required, transfers are protected by an adequacy decision, approved contractual safeguards or another lawful mechanism. Details of a provider’s transfers are available in its privacy policy.

12. Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures appropriate to the information involved, including encrypted network connections for purchase verification. No transmission or storage method is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when the Services, providers or legal requirements change. We will publish the revised policy here and update the date above. Material changes may also be communicated in the App or through an app store where appropriate.
